PUBLIC NOTICE PROPOSED CDBG PROJECTS The Town of Pima is expected to receive approximately $223,229 irn FY 2019 federal CDBG funds from the Arizona Department of Housing Regional Account (RA). The Town of Pima may also apply for up to $300,000 in CDBG funds from the FY18 State Special Projects (SSP) Account. CDBG funds must be used to benefit low-income persons and areas, alleviate slum and blight or address urgent need. Based on citizen input as well as loca aate planning objectives, potential projects will be selected to be forwarded to the State of Arizona with a request for funding. A public hearing will be held at a Council meeting on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at Pima Town Hall, 110 West Center Street, to discuss the potential projects. It is expected that the Council will select the final project a this hearing and adopt applicable resolutions. The potential CDBG projects are as follows: .A flood control project along 300 West; .A flood control project along 300 South; .A flood control project along 100 East; Upgrades to the public swimming pool; A new fire station; and A homeless shelter.
