PUBLIC NOTICE Freeport-McMoRan Safford, Inc. (FMSI) will host a public meeting on Thursday, September 27, 2018, in the Sunrise Room of the Manor House Convention Center at 415 US Highway 70, Safford, Arizona, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. to discuss aroundwater usage at the Safford Mine. FMSI will give a presentation beginning at 3:30 p.m. to provide information on the groundwater model used to estimate the effects of mine pumping on nearby aquifers, FMSI's program to mitigate modelled impacts of mine pumping on the Gila River, the monitoring program established to evaluate the performance of the groundwater model and the adequacy of the mitigation measures, and current and planned operations at the Safford Mine Before and after the presentation, FMSI staff, technical consultants, and representatives from the U.
